We are looking for Support Workers the Gerrards Cross Area who will be responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities living within a residential home, whilst ensuring their independence is preserved.

The Role
You will be responsible for
-Supporting Service users with their personal care and physical hygiene needs
-Encourage service users to maintain maximum independence
-To escort and assist service users in and around the service
-To assist with the provision of recreational, educational and leisure services
-Ensure accurate records are maintained in the case of incidents that occur

Hours of work are generally between 0730-1430 or 1430-2130
There is a full time post available with 32 hours a week, and also other part time roles

The Person
It is essential that;
-You have good basic literacy skills
-Are able to work the rostered hours
-Are willing to undertake training
-Have sympathy with Leonard Cheshire's Disability ethos and value base

It is desirable that you have the NVQ level 2 in care, and that you have experience in care either paid or unpaid.

The Pay;
The hourly rate is £7.17
