Salary: Up to £8.89 plus mileage 25p/mile
Location: East Bristol
We are currently recruiting full and part time care assistants with guaranteed hours to join our team to work in the Bristol area. As a care assistant you will be providing "hands-on" personal care and general support to a diverse group of clients living in their own homes. You will help the clients to live independently, assist with washing, bathing, getting dressed, some cooking and general cleaning duties when required. Monitoring the clients condition, domestic support and shopping as required. Other tasks will include assisting clients with booking appointments and encouraging social activities.
We are looking for caring individuals who want to make a difference to peoples' lives. You will be 18 or over with a driving licence and access to your own car (essential) Please DO NOT apply if you do not have a current driving licence. You will need to be literate in English and numerate and be required to read and write clients care plans. The successful person will ideally have experience of working in a care setting supporting residents, however this isn't essential as full training is provided, as well as the opportunity to gain up to a QCF Level 2 (NVQ 2)
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well established care company and this role will allow you to develop your existing skills as well as providing you with the opportunity to gain experience working with a diverse range of client's and their needs. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to working hours is required. Any successful applicants will be required to be flexible between the hours of 7am and 10pm (early starts or late finishes) you will also be required to work one shift at the weekend giving you the option of a day off in the week to compensate for this.
