About Surrey County Council

Just as you would recognise and applaud the achievements of your service users, so we, as an employer, will recognise and reward your achievements too. Through the Medium Term Strategy, Surrey County Council will provide the best social care services possible for vulnerable people in Surrey. The six planks of the strategy are: 1) Health and social care Providing seamless health and social care services. 2) Social care and housing Developing housing for vulnerable people. 3) Partnerships Working closely with partners for the good of local people. 4) Making full use of the power of Surrey Using the influence of strategic bodies in the best interests of Surrey people. 5) Quality and value for money Developing excellent standards of service and value for money. 6) An open service To achieve our potential we must be open and keen to learn - from staff, partners, Members, users, carers and the public. The recent Joint Review has shown excellent examples of partnership working with the NHS, district councils and voluntary organisations. The service has a clear sense of direction and has been commended for its exceptional progress. Surrey County Council has set itself very high standards on behalf of the people that it serves and the staff have the ability to deliver the strategy.
