Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist - Countywide
Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist
£37,139 - £39,935
About the Role
East Sussex is currently in the process of implementing East Sussex Better Together which will see the integration of health and social care teams, ensuring every patient or service user enjoys proactive, joined up care that supports them to live as independently as possible and achieve the best possible outcomes.
East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is looking for innovative Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapists to provide support and supervision to members of the Occupational Therapy Team.
Assessing Adults in-line with the Care Act, our Occupational Therapists have a pivotal role in the well-being agenda and inform the interventions needed to meet clients and carers assessed eligible needs. You will manage and reduce risks allowing clients to remain as safe as possible in their own homes using a reablement approach; the role will involve working with a wide range of assistive equipment, housing adaptations and manual handling.
As part of the management team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to service development and need to have the skills to manage the challenges and rewards that an environment of continual improvement and development brings.
If you are energetic, enthusiastic, committed to working across agencies as well as strengthening partnerships particularly with health and are passionate about developing your career as a professional occupational therapist, then we’d like to hear from you.
In return we will offer you a comprehensive induction program, regular supervision, training and development opportunities.
