Make a difference
We put the needs of the children in Cornwall right at the heart of everything we do – and that takes professionals who share our determination to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
Our social workers deliver effective front line services that safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. We want to keep our best practitioners and reward them for their commitment and expertise. Therefore we encourage them to stay in front line practice as advanced practitioners or move to front line management, both of which attract the same pay.
Are you innovative, positive, dedicated and not afraid of change or challenge? We want you to help us to transform the lives and futures of children and young people with severe and complex needs. You will be passionate about working with children, able to work independently, have access to transport and able to travel within the county.
Opportunities for those who want to progress their careers with us are available in:
- Children in Need
- Children in Care
- Child Protection
- Disabled Children & Therapy
You will be an experienced practitioner. Your experience will enable you to evidence how you have applied your learning to your practice; and you will have a proven track record of excellent practice that improves the lives of children. You must be qualified with a social work degree, social work qualification (Dip.SW, CCSW, CSS) or equivalent, and will need to be HCPC registered.
In return we will:
- Offer a generous relocation package for eligible candidates
- Provide access to the core curriculum – a high quality programme of evidence-based learning and development to enhance skills and practice
- Provide a license to access Community Care Inform
- Pay your HCPC registration fees.
