Following a successful CSSIW inspection during 2015 Children’s Services have undergone a review to transform the Services provided to Children and their families living across Flintshire. We are now recruiting for a number of child and family focused Social Workers to work within our Fieldwork (Family Intervention, First Contact and Targeted Prevention) Courts and Fostering teams.

We are looking for dedicated and committed individuals who are passionate about championing the needs of vulnerable children and young people. You should be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work strongly with a wide range of agencies, professionals and colleagues, managing complex cases, family court involvement and providing support in a timely manner, and at all times, making sure that the voice of the child is heard

You will bring a strong understanding of related agendas, practices and policies as we all as a thorough and detailed knowledge of all associated legislation and the assessment process ensuring that reports are thorough and judgements are made accurately. You must be organised, ensuring accurate plans, reports and records are kept and you’ll also have the ability to manage competing caseload demands and have a strong and genuine commitment to championing the needs of vulnerable children and young people.

Teamwork is also essential to maintaining our successful outcomes and you’ll play a key part in contributing to the teams and the services we deliver. You’ll be passionate about developing and improving standards and quality, helping us to achieve the best possible outcomes for everyone.

Successful candidates must be registered with Care Council for Wales and as this post will result in you having substantial contact with children, and/or vulnerable adults they will also be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check. Ability to speak Welsh is Desirable.
